Composer & Pianist

Frances is a Tasmanian composer and pianist whose music merges classical tradition with contemporary minimalism. She draws inspiration from romantic & impressionist masters while embracing the meditative aesthetics of neoclassical influences.
Following her 2024 debut album, Piano for Dreaming, Frances returns with A Day at the Florist—an intimate and evocative collection born from her live improvisation at the World’s Smallest Improvised Music Festival in November 2024. Blending heartfelt piano melodies with shimmering synth textures, the album captures the warmth of that moment—an intimate performance in a florist, surrounded by lush plants and a deeply attentive audience.
Releasing 28.03.2025, A Day at the Florist offers a sanctuary of sound—intimate, atmospheric, and deeply expressive.
