Composer & Pianist

Frances Cameron is a Tasmanian composer and pianist whose music weaves classical elegance with the contemplative spirit of contemporary minimalism. Her sound—rooted in romantic and impressionist traditions—is gently modern, drawing from neoclassical aesthetics to create immersive, emotionally resonant works.

After the success of her 2024 debut album Piano for Dreaming, Frances returns in 2025 with A Day at the Florist—a deeply intimate and atmospheric collection inspired by a live improvisation at the World’s Smallest Improvised Music Festival. Performed in a florist, surrounded by lush greenery and an attentive audience, the performance was captured in the moment and later shaped into an evocative album of tender piano lines and shimmering synth textures.
Frances’s music invites you to pause, breathe, and feel.
